Lessons and Rides

Lessons - Courses
Half hour lessons are available for all ages and standards. They are
graded accordingly and are designed to be taken over a six week
period. Any absenteeism will render the lesson forfeit unless
a minimum of 24 hours notice is given.
- £36.00 non-members (£34.50 members)
Lessons - Half Hour Casual (subject to availability)
These are available only when there are vacancies due to cancellation.
Courses of lessons are given priority. Advance bookings are not
normally taken.

Rides - Hour and Half Hour
Rides in the wood escorted by a member of staff. Unescorted
riding is not available. When making a booking you will be asked
your horse riding experience and your ride will be graded accordingly,
i.e. non-rider, novice (ridden before), experienced (competent
at walk, trot and canter paces).
Hour: £12.50 non-members (£11.00 members)
Half hour: £6.50 non-members (£6.00 members)
Pony Rides
Pony rides are for available for young children aged 4 years
and over, as an introduction to horse riding.
Pony rides are available on Sundays from 10.00am to 1.00pm and during school holidays. Times that rides will be available during holidays will be
posted in advance on notice boards at the Riding School for your
information.

Booking & Availabilty
All rides and lessons must be booked in advance (except pony rides). Adult rides and lessons are available from Tuesday to Friday and on Sundays. Children's lessons and rides are available on Saturdays, after school during term time and mid-week during official school holidays. The riding school is closed on Mondays for the horses' rest day and between 1.00pm and 2.00pm daily.
Conditions of Riding
Prior to going out on your first ride or lesson you will be asked your horse riding experience and will be asked to sign a 'Conditions of Riding Form' to acknowledge the conditions of the Riding School and to confirm your previous experience.
What To Wear
Riding hats must be worn by all riders. These are available for
loan free of charge from the Riding School. Suitable footwear
and clothing must also be worn - shorts, vests or sandal type
footwear is unacceptable.

Cancellations
A full booking fee will be charged unless a minimum of 24 hours notice is given in order for us to replace the ride to ensure a full book. Any vacancies will be offered to customers on our waiting list who will then have priority for the following week at the same time unless advised otherwise.
